Adding a Custom Signature

Question: I want to add a signature to my blog posts. How do I do that?
Answer: You can add a custom signature by using My Live Signature for custom signatures.

Go to My Live Signature and click on "click here to start."

They give you a few options. You can then either click on creating a new signature, uploading a scanned image of your real signature, Draw a Signature, or Create an individualized font. Let My Live Signature walk you through the steps to create a signature you are happy with. If you create one with their fonts, you can chose the font, size, color, etc.

You can save the final product as an image to your computer by right-clicking on the signature and choosing "save image as," naming it, then saving it to your desktop. Or you can click on "Want to use this signature?" at the end of your process, and it will give you HTML code to place in your blog.

If you decide to use their HTML, copy the code. Then go into Blogger, click on the "Settings" tab in your blog dashboard, and then "Formatting" below that. Scroll down to the bottom where it says "Post Template." Paste the code into that template/text box. When you open a new post, the signature will be waiting for you! :) Just make sure to type above your signature so that it appears at the bottom.

Note: This will only apply to NEW posts. Your past posts will not contain a signature.
Ours look like this:

Want to know how we used our REAL signatures? This step is for intermediate to advanced users:
• Scan your signature into your computer.
• Adjust it in Photoshop or a photo editing software to your liking.
• Upload it to a photo hosting site like Photobucket.
• Copy the
•Paste it into the following code (we've highlighted it in red in the example, but you can copy the code from the text box below):

Comments are how we stay connected as bloggers. Let us know how you feel and we'll return the favor...stay calm and blog on!!! And guess what? You'll never find Word Verification on our blog...it gets kind of annoying when you can't read what WV wants you to verify right?
