How To Add An Instagram Widget To Your Blog

Add Instagram Widget To Your Blogger Blog

Even if you don't have an iPhone you still wish you could use Instagram, right? Hopefully one day that time will come... If you're a lucky Instagrammer and you want to show off your awesome daily pics on your blog - you can do it! It's simple to install...it's just an HTML widget in your sidebar!

Thanks to SnapWidget.com you can show off Instagram anytime!  Plus, it's freakin' FREE!!!! Woot! Of course, there is a Pro version, but try this first. Click on SnapWidget to get started.

For this tutorial I borrowed the Username of The Nautical Wife...since we don't have our own Instagram account yet. So if you want to feature a few photos of a close friend or someone you're stalking you can add their account too!

After clicking Get Your Free Widget fill in the above info

This is the code box you'll get...copy and paste into an HTML widget on your blog's layout
Paste here and click save

Your final product will look something like this...you may add rows or columns as you prefer.

Have fun sharing Instagram with your bloggy friends! Do you have another way to share your Instagrams? Let us know about it! Pick up some more Instagram Tips and Tricks at Her New Leaf too!

  5. The first Instagram widget BAdgePLZ.com was developed in Feb 2011. Now more than 140 000 blogs already use it. Use BadgePLZ.com Instagram widget too.

  7. Thank you for the tip! It works great, except I am not sure how this can be done with Wordpress? Any advice? All my "Widgets" are standard and doesn't appear to give me the option to add the code.

  9. Fantastic instructions Sarah!

I also wanted to share with you and your readers 1 other tool you may find useful. It's called Tint, and we let you display any instagram feed into your website, Wordpress, Facebook Page, etc.

You can display your own Instagram feed, other brand's instagram feed, and even instagram hashtags (great for campaigns) in a matter of minutes. Visitors can share your photos to their social networks and you can even show different themes with flexible columns.

Feel free to check it out for more information: http://www.tintup.com/blog/the-best-instagram-widget/

    Thanks,
    Tim

  12. Thank you for sharing this. I needed it desperately but it won't work for some reason. It's saying, "Your template could not be parsed as it is not well-formed. Please make sure all XML elements are closed properly.
XML error message: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed.
Error 500". What do I need to do? My email is tollercortne@gmail.com. Thanks again.

  15. Hi Trine, it should work. You might just check your code and make sure something didn't get left behind, like a closing tag or something. What is your Instram url? I'll send you the code.

  21. This didn't work for me. This is the message I got:
Your HTML cannot be accepted: PHP, ASP, and other server-side scripting is not allowed
I'm on Blogger....any idea why that would happen?

Comments are how we stay connected as bloggers. Let us know how you feel and we'll return the favor...stay calm and blog on!!! And guess what? You'll never find Word Verification on our blog...it gets kind of annoying when you can't read what WV wants you to verify right?
