Navbar Part 2: Peek-a-boo Navbar in Blogger

Question: So I've changed my navbar to a matching style, but what if I don't want it to appear until hovered over?

Answer: If you would like a "peek-a-boo" (or drop down) navbar up top, like ours (roll over to see ours appear, set to the transparent dark setting), you just have to install a gadget! This code works for Blogger only, and is supported in some browsers. I've known users of less current web browsers (like Netscape Navigator) to have inconsistent results with this code, but I use it in Firefox and Safari just fine! And since it's installed as a widget, you can always just delete it if it doesn't work for you.

Simply copy and paste the code below into an HTML gadget in your sidebar, and see if you like the effect:

  7. I'm working on an older template at the moment and I could not get the simpler hide/show navbar codes to work with it. Your code works!

    Thank you!
