Get to know our finalists: Today's Letters

Today's Letters
What can you not say about Today's Letters. Such a great idea for daily posts! This feel-good, fist-pumping blog is comprised mostly of letters between hubby and wifey, Mr. and Mrs. Loerke. Cute, funny, sweet, and original letters. Here's a sampling:

Today's Letters: Dear Mr. Loerke, whenever I see your reading glasses sitting on the nightstand I can't help but feel old. Kind of like we've been married for 20 years. I love this feeling. Dear Early Morning Run, I dread you like eating meatwad covered in ketchup. That's all. Dear Friends, whenever Husband gets an unexpected package he A) carries it under his arm for 2 hours B) tries to convince me that waiting to open it until bedtime is lame C) bench presses it 17 times while I'm in the shower D) shakes it so hard he turns its contents into 1,000 pieces or E) all of the above. Dear Love of My Life (who always gets two letters), to the moon!

And if that wasn't enough, they answer "Tuesday Questions" honestly. Every week:
"Every Tuesday Husband and I walk. We talk about lots of things, mostly our faith, our family, and things we are grateful for. But we always ask each other the same four questions:"

1. How did you feel loved this past week?
2. What does your upcoming week look like?
3. How would you feel most loved & encouraged in the days ahead?
4. How would you best feel pursued in sex / intimacy this week?

Darn good questions to ask!
They work at and play in their marriage. And it's a delight to follow. THIS is especially inspiring.

Here's the happy couple (if that's a real Eames chair, I might pass out):

And the funny coincidence for this nominee (you know, the fact that I—Lyndsay—keep finding small things in common with all of these blogs)? My husband is crazy about (that's putting it lightly) the Icelandic singer/songwriter Jonsi. He is in fact in Iceland as we speak (my husband, not Jonsi. Ironically Jonsi is in California...). I just happened upon this post on Today's Letters, about Jonsi.

Comments are how we stay connected as bloggers. Let us know how you feel and we'll return the favor...stay calm and blog on!!! And guess what? You'll never find Word Verification on our blog...it gets kind of annoying when you can't read what WV wants you to verify right?
